Lightbox Help

Please note, a maximum of 25 images can be downloaded at one time

Newspix Lightboxes let you collect, edit, and share sets of images online You can personalise one or more collections, and keep them to review later. You can rename your Lightboxes, add notes, and open shared Lightboxes. When you register on Newspix you are given one default Lightbox but you can create as many as you like.

Accessing my lightboxes
Lightboxes can be accessed from any page in the My Account section by clicking the "View My Lightboxes" button.
OR
by clicking 'My Lightboxes' from search results or event results.

Adding images to a lightbox
You can add an image either:
1. From a search results page by ticking the check-box below individual or multiple images and then click the "Add to lightbox" button at the bottom of the page.
2. From an Image Preview page by adding the picture direct to your Lightbox.

Lightbox functionality
Each Lightbox will tell you:
• Title -- A text box lets you enter a title of the lightbox - but you have only 20 characters
• Created by -- This tells you the username of who created the Lightbox.
• Created on -- When the Lightbox was made
• Updated -- When the Lightbox was last edited
• Share Lightbox -- You are able to share this Lightbox with a colleague by putting in an email address. When you share a Lightbox, a copy will be sent to the recipient for them to view. If the recipient is a registered Newspix user they can log in and save their Lightbox and edit it as required. Your original Lightbox is saved and remains unaffected.
Separate multiple email addresses with commas
• Message -- A window to write notes and comments which will appear at the bottom of the email that is sent to the recipient along with a link to the lightbox.

Selected images
In your lightbox you can:
• Download images -- Use the image check-boxes to select single or multiple images for download .
• Delete images -- Select images in your Lightbox by using the check-box , then click the "Delete" button.
• Buy selected images -- Use the image check-box to select images, then click the "Purchase selected" to start the buying process.
• Buy the whole LIghtbox -- Click the "Purchase Lightbox" button. There is a 25 image limit per download.
• Copy images -- Use the pull-down menu next to the "Copy Images to: button to select the new Lightbox you wish to copy images to.

Saving an emailed Lightbox
To save a Lightbox that has been emailed to you, click the link in the email to view the Lightbox and if you are a registered user, it will ask for your username and password. Once logged in you will see the Lightbox automatically listed in Manage My Lightboxes. If you are not a registered user, you can only view the Lightbox, not edit it. You will have to complete the registration form to be able to edit the Lightbox.

Reinstating deleted Lightboxes
We can reinstate you old Lightboxes after you have deleted them. Just drop us an email with the Lightbox name or description of images in the Lightbox and we can reinstate it back into your account.
